LAS VEGAS – Armen Petrosyan beat Gregory Rodrigues with a split decision Saturday to open the main card at UFC Fight Night 202 in Las Vegas.

Take a look inside the fight with Petrosyan, who had to rally from a third-round submission attempt by Rodrigues to get the split nod.

Result: Armen Petrosyan def. Gregory Rodrigues via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27)

“Rodrigues is a very good fighter. I respect him as a human being, and he’s real warrior. I really respect him. To be honest, there weren’t many surprises. Maybe I was expecting him to grapple with me more, and maybe the kick that landed on my face was a little surprise to me.”

“It was my dream to be here and I’m very glad I won my debut. I’m happy with my performance, but I’m looking forward to performing even better.”

“I’ll heal my wounds a little bit, and maybe after three months I’ll be ready. I don’t want to call any names, but I want to fight the best.”
